On Saturday, December 1, a large group of ladies from our community gathered at Joseph's Trattoria restaurant in Bradford for our Ladies' Guild's annual Christmas gathering. The ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch, along with fellowship and some good laughs. There was also a Yankee Swap that turned out to be a great time for all. It was a way to celebrate all that the Guild has achieved this past year and to encourage its members to look forward to another great year of service and dedication to Saint Gregory Church.

On Sunday, December 2, during Divine Liturgy at St. Illuminator's Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, by encyclical of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, our Prelate, Bishop Anoushavan Tanielian was officially granted the title "Archbishop," a mark of prestige and seniority, granted for years of faithful service to our Lord and the Armenian Apostolic Church. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archbishop Anoushavan at the cathedral, during which Very Rev. Fr. Sahag Yemishian, pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Worcester and Secretary of the Prelacy's religious council, read the Caholicosal encyclical for all the faithful to hear. Following the service at the Cathedral, a celebratory banquet was held at Terrace-on-the-Park banquet facility in Queens, organized by the Prelacy's executive council in honor of Archbishop Anoushavan's election in September.
