Counsels of the Holy Fathers of the Church:
Hope: The means to confirm and strengthen Christian hope are prayer, especially frequent and sincere prayer, confession of our sins, frequent reading of the Word of God, and above all, frequent Communion of the Holy and Life Giving Sacraments of the Body & Blood of Jesus Christ. If you indeed call God your Father, then trust and hope in Him, as a Father most merciful, all powerful, most wise, ever loving, ever perfect.
Then trust in Him in the respect of the Blessings of this temporal life, but above all in respect of future blessings which shall be granted to you in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, if only more people believed, trusted, and hoped in You, perhaps it would be a better world to live in. Have mercy on us Lord we pray and forgive us for our human frailties and our many weaknesses, forgive us O most Precious Lord & Savior Jesus Christ for our destitution of Spirit, and above all bring us back to You so that we may have Your Peace which is beyond our human wisdom and understanding dwelling in our hearts. Amen.
