Readings- 17:7-14, 2 Corinthians 13:5-13,

Gospel-Mark 11:27-33

3rd Sunday after the Feast of the Cross

The 118th Psalm proclaims: This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. Perhaps we could take these words and do our best to try and live by them and while we certainly live in a very difficult and complex world maybe if we just tried to live by these words and realize just how very fortunate and blessed we really are then perhaps our daily lives would not be so difficult to endure.
Life itself is a gift from God and what our Heavenly Father expects from us is that we do our utmost to make the world a better place, it is very tempting to take the easy way out, yet our Christian faith was never meant to be one of ease and convenience, had that been the case then we know for certain that Our Lord Jesus Christ died needlessly.
Christ Himself taught us to enter through the narrow gate for it leads to eternal life and the wide open gate leads to destruction: This is the essence of our faith as Christians our belief in Christ who reminds us that He alone is the only path to light, truth, and life. Goodness does not come from a sense of doing whatever is expedient at any given moment or doing what the world wants us to do, to be genuinely good in a Christian sense is very difficult indeed because a true and faithful follower of Jesus Christ is very much aware of the reality that their reward is not found nor attained but rather through eternal life which has been promised to us by God. This is the day the Lord has made!!!
Give happiness to others so that you may too experience happiness.
As always the choice is yours to make. A Blessed & Peaceful Sabbath.
