Gospel Luke-4;14-24

5th Sunday of the Holy Cross

Counsels of the Holy Fathers of the Church:
If the ocean is good and worthy of praise before God, how much more beautiful is the assembly of a Church like this: where the voices of men, of women and of children arise in our prayers to God, mingling and resounding like the waves which beat upon the shore. The Church also enjoys a profound calm, and malicious spirits cannot trouble it.
Deserve then the approbation of the Lord by remaining faithful to such good guidance and fellowship in our Lord Jesus.
St. Basil the Great
Prayer: We are a true community Lord, when as a family, as Your children we can praise You, worship You, and pray for each other.   Help us Lord, to fully understand this blessing and gift that You have given to us.
Prayer: May I always remember Lord, that Your kingdom is within me and each and everyone of my fellow Christians who make up Your living Church. Help us to remember O Lord that each and everyone of us first must create that Kingdom of God especially as we journey through this life and learning to accept one another as Our Lord has accepted us with all of our human frailties and our many human shortcomings O Lord & Savior Jesus Christ help us and forgive us!
