Spiritual Counsels of the Holy Fathers of the Church
Let us therefore supplicate Him... let us assist the needy with prayers of intercession. The Community of the Church can do much with a repented soul, and a contrite spirit, we offer up our prayers! It is unnecessary to cross the ocean, or to undertake a long journey. Let every man and woman and child, whether meeting together in Church, or remaining at home, call upon God with much earnestness, and He will doubtless accede to our petitions.
St. John Chrysostom
Prayer: I pray dear Lord for the many people who are indifferent to You and Your way of life...those who do not know You or love You. Have mercy on them Lord, and show them Your love in Your special way. We thank You O merciful Lord for your love & mercy always.
Prayer: Lord, grant that I pray as quickly and willingly for those who are against me and resent me as I do for those who love me.
Teach us to forgive others as You have forgiven us O Lord.
