Guidelines
Concerning Sacraments
Weddings
Those wishing to have the
Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the Armenian Orthodox Church should
contact the Church at least 6 months prior to the requested date
of the ceremony. The couple must meet with the Pastor twice before
the ceremony for pre- marital counseling. Arrangements for the
Soloist and Organist are made through the Church Office.
Baptism
In accordance with the
faith and canons of the Armenian Orthodox Church the sacrament
of Holy Baptism and Chrismation should be perfomed between the
8th and 40th day of the birth of the newborn. We ask that parents
contact the Church Office as soon as possible to secure a date
for the Sacrament.
Funerals
Although
not considered a Sacrament the faithful should do their utmost
to have the Funeral Service of their beloved departed at the Church
to remind ourselves that it is God who brought us into the world
and it is with our Lord that we depart from this life. Arrangements
for the Service at the Church are made in consultation with our
local Funeral Directors. The Soloist and Organist are arranged
through the Church Office.
