Scripture Readings- 2 Corinthians 6:16-7:1-Luke 1:39-56
7th day of the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin
Look into the eyes of the Lord and ask yourself what more do I really need in this life? Where is the peace that we all seek?
The word peace, that one thing that we as humans can never seem to find, we think that we can by perhaps indulging ourselves in the pleasure of the world, but that too becomes just another temporary stop during the journey of life. Where does the search for peace in our hearts and souls really culminate? We could find it but not in the world or at least not in the material world that we are accustomed to living in on a daily basis.
The world as it stands presently is far from being a place of peace or tranquility, just look around you and see what turmoil mankind has created for himself, and just like every other catastrophe that occurs we too will inevitably blame God for all of the sins that have created the tumultuous world that we reside in, the sins that you and I have committed without regard for the consequences that follow.
Yes we humans are indeed the ultimate of God’s creation, yet we have done much to destroy what God has given to us in His Love.
The answers and the search for peace begins and ends with us.
