The Holiest week of the year is beginning once again and there really is no better time than Holy Week to address our spiritual issues, recently I addressed the very poor attendance at our Lenten Vigil Services and please remember that as a Pastor & Shepard a Priest is entrusted with the spiritual well being of the flock that has been entrusted to his care.
We are beginning the Holiest week on the Church Calendar, the Services are not merely a number of chants and readings, but more importantly they are the reality of the suffering that our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ endured for our sins!
This is Holy Week and not Holy Weekend we have to become more serious and sincere about our faith or we risk having failed miserably as the Church, we cannot show so such apathy and indifference toward the our spiritual life, if we can make time for outside activities than we how come we cannot make time to come to Church. Are we not concerned with the well being of our souls? What has happened to us?
Perhaps we should add an 11th Commandment: Thou shall not be apathetic to God and our Church. A Blessed & Peaceful Holy Week and may Christ dwell in your hearts!
